And Here We Go

"BOSTON (AP) -- The Massachusetts Attorney General is looking into the bidding process by the Red Sox to find out if the team's sale would provide the maximum possible benefit to charitable groups in the state."

The fourth group I mentioned -- Miles Prentice runs it -- says their bid was 90 million dollars higher than the winning bid. That triggered the Attorney General's investigation. Dolan's group reportedly beat the winning bid by 60 million dollars. Gonna get ugly.

Did I mention that Selig supports increased revenue sharing in MLB, which would benefit small market teams such as the Milwaukee Brewers... which are owned by Selig's daughter? And yet the rationale for rejecting Dolan's bid is that his brother owns the Cleveland Indians, creating conflict of interest.

John Henry, our winning bidder, also supports increased revenue sharing. Booyah.

Meanwhile, the Patriots just beat the Dolphins in the last regular season game at Foxboro Stadium, which puts them in prime position to make the playoffs and possibly win the AFC East. Their final game is against the 1-12 Carolina Panthers. The Celtics are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Law of Boston Sports Compensation still stands; someone's gonna give you something to be happy about.
