Tanaka vs. Murahama did not suck at all. Tanaka is fast like ninja! Mutoh vs. Kawada was the real deal too.

Minoru Tanaka is great but puro purists dislike him because he's basically working in the Lucha idiom. It's a legitmate gripe since he's not in Mexico, but it makes for good matches if you're not crabby about these things.

Yep. I tend to not worry about it -- I like the lucharesu style, and I like AJPW strong style, too. I think Japanese wrestling would be a lesser thing if it wasn't so open to outside influences. Stagnant styles are dull.
