My heart...it goes pitter-patter!

"Big-atures" are miniatures, except that when dealing with "miniatures" of Isengard or Rivendell or the like, they tended to stand six feet tall, so "miniature" didn't seem like the right word any more.

Seeing as the original release runtime (according to IMDB.com) was 201 minutes, that's an additional 49 minutes of material, which I think is almost double what was added for either "Fellowship of the Rings" or "Two Towers."

Holy motherf*@%ing God. Four hours and ten minutes. Now *THAT'S* a movie.

Abandoned concept: Aragorn battles Sauron feature

Oh, this would have set the fan boys off...

# Mumakil battle multi-angle feature

Oh yeah. This is what it's all about!!!

I'm just looking forward to the scenes with the Mouth, and the rest of the Saruman stuff tucked back in. No Sharkey though, which still makes me sad.

YAY!

I need to pass this list onto my parents, who are, bizarrely, huge junkies for the movies.

What's so great about Cameron Duncan?

"All right, first off, you're moving out of Minas Tirith. Also Lothlorien, Rivendell, Helm's Deep... basically, if you're there now, you won't be. Gandalf, you can just go back over the ocean. Saruman, we'll want him in chains. That reminds me, we also are taking over Isengard. Gondor will swear alligence to us, same with Rohan.

"Also, don't think your little buddy the halfling's gonna save you. We've caught and killed 'em. Here's his mithrilcoat and cloak, for proof. He had some other stuff on him, but we'll be keeping that."
