It's time for the Lost Badass List to reappear. We last examined the question of the island's badassery after the seaon finale. This list categorizes badasses over time, but is heavily weighted towards the current storyarc. This year, since the Others are regulars and since I cannot deny the force of nature that is Benry (credit for neologism to S.), Others are eligible for the list.

Funny, I was thinking about the Badass List on my way in to work this morning. I would say, given this week's episode, Jin and Sawyer should switch places. Also I totally agree with your assertion on Sun.

I think there's one person Ben isn't in control of - Juliette.

Yeah, I've got throw in my vote of concurrence on the Sun issue. In fact, I weight Sun's badassness higher simply because you don't expect her to be badass.

Juliette's in a similar vein. You don't expect a woman who started this season by peering into the mirror with a look of depression and then burning herself making muffins to be a badass. But there she is.

The urge to watch has dropped out of my body this season, actually it dropped out about 2/3s of the way through last season, though I did see the finale. Maybe I'll watch a bunch of episodes in a cluster, TiVo is still grabbing them.

I go back and forth on Sayid and Jin's places, though head58 definitely has a point about Sawyer's badassery this week. The three are sorta in a mental tie for me. Sayid is a total badass for his plot in the first place; Jin's "I was betrayed but I love you anyway and by the way, I speak English better than you think" was a wha-BAM of a badass moment. I waver!

Juliette is cold, cold, cold. But yeah, Benry wins the list for me this week too. Kate and Jack (who, yes, is a whiny little weasel) just seemed beaten this week.

I'm SO looking forward to next week. Locke! Eko! Desmond! Meh, Charlie.
