A Manifesto

"I've always wondered why I was put on the earth. For years I thought I was put here to die as cannon fodder in Vietnam but somehow cheated the devil out of it. Lately I've been feeling helpless in our war on terrorism. But I realized I could engage the terrorists allies here in America. The best allies they've got.

"The Democrates! The democrates have done everything they can do to tie our hands in this War on Terror. They're all a bunch of traitors. They want America to loose this war for reasons I can not understand. It makes me soooo mad!"

-- Jim David Adkisson

On July 27th, 2008, Jim Adkisson walked into the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and killed two people with a shotgun. Six more were injured. His manifesto (PDF) was released today.

Wow.

When do we get to prosecute the right-wing commentariat for inciting murder again? *sigh*

What a sad, stupid, pathetic little man. To have gotten to 58 and still live in a paranoid, racist fantasy land... It beggars the imagination to think that he'd lived that long and learned nothing. I hope Sean Hannity, Michael Savage and Bill O'Reilly are proud - it's their toxic bile that helped make this man what he is.

And I would love for a liberal guest on one of their shows to point that out to them.

I would love for a *conservative* guest to point that out to them.

Yeah, but even less likely to happen.

context?

I'm missing some context here, which I will poorly sum up as: bryant, is there a point you're trying to make, or a question you're trying to ask? I say "poorly", because that's often asked as an accusatory question, which I don't intend.

I feel I've walked into the middle of an ongoing conversation, so I feel I'm being rude in asking "wait, what?". :)
