The snow's timing sucked for us. It ruined the weekend -- I wanted to take Squeaky to the dog show so she could practice the one word she seems to know well -- DOG -- and have fun; instead we ended up going out to shovel like four times. DH didn't get a snow day and he's all bent out of shape for having a whole five day work week. Sucks to be a teacher.
Not that I'd trade with you, but at least you have snow to blame it upon.
It took me one and a half hours to get to work -- double the normal time.
"But, Max," someone might say, "since there's no snow in San Francisco, why did it take so long?"
One might guess that it had rained, and the poor drivers we have here couldn't handle it. This guess would be incorrect, but close.
It didn't actually rain, but it looked like it was going to rain.
There were no accidents, no cars pulled over by police, no debris in the road. No possible reason for people to be driving so slowly. Nothing. Except dark and ominous clouds in the sky.
