I think any pen and paper RPG designer could warn these folks about the perils of their idea. But it'd be more fun to watch them cope with finding out themselves.

"Hey, let me tell you about my character!"

Hey, didn't Carl Rigney already run that? No fair!

Team MTV!

Not that I ever ran Team MTV but I still have fond memories of Glory, a decade later.

Probably only a matter of time until Hero for a Day gets thought of again,
in which ordinary people are given elite training, expert advice, and state-of-the-art equipment, and sent off to do crazy missions. The one I recall was to sneak in to Cuba and shave off Castro's beard, but there were probably wackier ones than that.

Of course, these could be combined. "This week on Team MTV, they disarm Iraq, and Heartbreaker argues with Oni about whose turn it is to clean the bathroom."

But now I have the strangest mental image of Goldenwatch getting a cable local access show, so I think I'll stop here.
