Announcement: C. E. Murphy Fans is now open for business. C. E. Murphy is a dear, dear friend of mine who has just broken into publishing in a fairly big way, with six books sold over the course of the last year or so. Her first book, Urban Shaman, just hit the shelves. I'm running her unofficial forums.

Okay this is now officially a subgenre. Chick-lit Urban fantasy or something.

You'll have to lend it to me sometime Bryant.

I think I knew this (about you anc "C.E." being friends), but had of course forgotten it 'til I read this post. I still find it way too small world that you'd end up attending a gaming con run by her agent, [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia.

And I need to actually buy a copy of this book.

I'll have to have [livejournal.com profile] bneuensc read it for me. She seems to be plowing through literature much faster than me these days.

I'm going of the books on the Amzon "If you ike this" feature. But of the ones I see there they are Urban Fantasy mashed wth Sex in te City. There are plenty of woman writers in this ting called "urban fantasy" whether Lsia Goldstein, Megan Lindholm, in Kiki Hoffman, etc that don't seem to hae the vibe that this book (and others on the list) has.

Course this book might not fit into the groove of the others (and its cover) and I can easily be jumpig to onclusions. Whch s why I'm wlling to read it o your recommendation, cause I trust your opinion and all.
