When's that crazy Catholic fishman effigy parade in the North End?

And Head of the Charles, the Marathon, and Harvard-Yale are secular holidays to some. But you got the Marathon already.

St. Patrick's Day.

All bars are Irish on St. Patrick's day.
Go to bar, drink. Go to a different bar, drink some more. Go to yet another bar and drink yet more. Repeat as neccessary.

That's 'Evacuation Day'.

Funny, how there's a holiday that always falls on St. Patrick's.

Cinco de Mayo -- TEQUILLA! Demeaning the Mexicans!

Yes, Cinco de Mayo is basically Demeaning the Mexicans Day. For one thing, Mexican Independence Day is Sept 16th. Another thing, Cinco de Mayo celebrates one battle where they temorarily held off the French from taking over Mexico soon after they gained independence from the Spanish.

My father is a typical stupid Gringo when he goes to other countries. One time when we were in La Paz, Baja, he asked the cabby if it gets really crazy during Cinco de Mayo. The cabby looked at him and basically said, "Cinco de Mayo... what's that?". Yep... it's a total Gringo holiday.
