Date: 2007-10-03 02:30 pm (UTC)Better yet, people (you) just need to package up all their mods and settings for luddites (me) to consume.

Date: 2007-10-03 03:13 pm (UTC)Our record was Void Reaver dead with 2 people alive (46 seconds past the enrage timer woot!), but #1 in our hall of fame is still the Prince kill where the only one alive was the mage, which sat over 20 seconds in his iceblock while the (dead) warlock's DoTs finished the job.
And congratulatiosn on downing maggy. Probably not your first time, but doing it with only 2 warlocks is still impressive.

Date: 2007-10-03 03:16 pm (UTC)I wouldn't say "very". You still need a lot of the same information, especially if you're also the raidleader.

Date: 2007-10-03 03:21 pm (UTC)Not to say that the sun rises in the east, but as a tank, I've put my skill cooldowns into the center of the screen, whereas as a healer, I put healthbars there. As my mage, I basically use the default UI, because it's all about watching the pretty AM animation. :)
Hmm...
I wouldn't say "very".
Okay, I guess I'm agreeing with you. :)

Date: 2007-10-03 03:24 pm (UTC)We actually made a couple of attempts with one warlock last night, but were forced to go to an alt.

Date: 2007-10-03 04:28 pm (UTC)Seeing as how I like knowing everyone's full status at all times (even if I technically don't need that information) I love those little frames to bits.

Date: 2007-10-03 04:58 pm (UTC)1. Location. I should drop that, I never use it and I'm running low on room.
2. (The little scroll) Experience. Not relevant for Abbi; shows experience needed to next level plus more if I mouse over it for leveling characters.
3. Reputation tracker for rep grinds.
4. High score -- tracks my biggest individual hits for all my skills.
5. Gold. Mouse over it to see how much gold my other characters have, plus some stats about money made and spent during various time periods.
6. Performance -- frames per second, network, etc.
7. Friends -- the number of people in my friends list and the number of them who're on. Mouse over for a list.
8. Guildies -- exactly like the previous but for the guild.
9. BugSack, which catches addon errors and keeps them from splattering all over my screen.
10. DPS counter.
11. Durability counter.
12. Outfitter, for swapping around outfits easily.
13. Manufac -- pops up a menu allowing me to access any crafting skill and make items quick.
14. Quest tracker. Abbi has 16 quests.
15. Assessment, currently showing raid-wide DPS. My damage meter of choice currently.
Then a clock, then a lot of raid-specific things. Loot tracking, who's got buffs up, raid warnings, etc., etc.
Minimap icons of note... there's an icon for bringing up a config interface for a ton of my mods; there's a WIR-specific inviter for raids; there's the Atlas button for looking at nice instance maps, plus the Atlas Loot button for looking at loot tables.
PerfectRaid I mentioned.
My unit frame (health, rage, etc.) is in the middle of the screen where I can see it. I also use a HUD (the curved translucent bars) for showing health. But I don't use it well.
The death log right over my chat frame is Assessment again; it has the ability to let me see a list of deaths and drill down to see how each one occurred. Among a ton of other abilities. The Damage Dealt window between my two banks of action bars is also an Assessment window. So is the Threat window on the right side of the screen.
The MainTank list above the Threat window is part of oRA, my preferred addon for raid coordination. When someone listed on that list has a mob targeted, that mob gets a bar to the right of the tank's bar. Very handy for big fights.
XRaidStatus tracks some basic indicators; you can get it to do more, but I haven't. I look at that to decide whether or not I can pull, and sometimes mid-fight to figure out if we're doing OK or not.
The big raid attendance check in the middle of the screen is part of my loot tracker.
Oh, I use Bartender3 to move my bars around. Simple, functional, etc.
