State Fair

The Maryland State Fair is like five minutes from our place, so we went down there tonight. I had funnel cake. Only once, although I did briefly consider doing reviews of every funnel cake vendor on the midway. (No, I'm not going back and trying one per night.)

Then we checked out the livestock competition. Sheep are cute!

Then I had a pulled lamb BBQ sandwich. Yummy.

Then we came home.

You can buy your tickets in advance, as well as ride ticket sheets in advance, if you want to save money. (If you do it online you pay a service fee though, so you may want to go to the Northgate Mall instead: http://www.ncstatefair.org/2009/Tickets/AdvanceSales.htm)

i could never go make friends with an animal, and then eat meat.

i have severe guilt issues. i must have been a terrible hunter in a past life, because vegetarianism comes easily to me. hehe

There was a bingo tent! I didn't see any cow pies, though.

There was a 4H pavilion with baked goods, clothing, paintings, vegetables, quilts, and science dioramas.
