Hello, Boston

michele_blue and I are coming out to Boston in June. We are arriving at a fairly ungodly hour on Thursday morning, 6/6. We are leaving Monday afternoon. In between we are attending my brother's wedding on Friday afternoon/evening.

On Saturday I am interested in sitting in the Omni Boston Parker House, where we are staying, and running an old-school dungeon delve all day insofar as that's a game that can accomodate any number of people and it only takes 10 minutes to roll up a character when someone arrives/I kill your old one. Any and all invited. We'll use Adventurer Conquerer King (it's a Basic D&D clone).

Otherwise we're fairly open for social although we're gonna hold on to some us time.

I'd love to hear how this goes. A local group is recruiting for an ACK game starting up later in the year, and it sounds interesting, but I know little about the system (other than B/X clone with emphasis on domain-building if you go far enough).

I bought it because it's the cleanest retro-game in presentation and layout. The domain-building aspect is nice but not a sales point for me. I wound up really, really liking the class building system.

While I'd like to drop by and see y'all, and maybe bring the sweetie, given life moves going on, I'm not sure I can do the all afternoon gaming thing right now. Can I drop by that Saturday afternoon (6/8, right?) and just visit?

The whole week/weekend is gonna be tricky, as my nephew is graduating high school, and a lot of family is in town. I'm pretty sure with a large window of Saturday afternoon, I can drop by and see y'all. But Friday and Monday might be hard. If I don't make it out Saturday, which I'm planning to hold, maybe a lunch Monday in Harvard Square if you can swing it, could be a backup.
