I was irked that John Kerry wasn’t releasing his military records, but he fixed that. The difference between Bush’s definition of releasing and Kerry’s definition of releasing is pretty substantial. Kerry put his military records up as PDFs on his web site, and anyone can see them. Bush showed his records to reporters and gave some of them 20 minutes to review some medical exams.

In all fairness, I don’t see Kerry’s military medical records on his web site, and I think they should be there. I still believe there’s a difference between handing your records out to a small group of reporters and making them available online for anyone to see. Someone at the Kerry campaign gets the Internet.

Oops, nevermind. I just deleted that previous comment. I didn't see the word "medical" in that sentence.

Personally, I don't see what difference his medical exams would make. I mean, A.) medical records are personal, and B.) he's already posted a dozen other documents outlining his military career in pretty damn good detail. Who cares if had a cold for a week or something? Still trumps Bush in a big way.

I don't care about 'em in the abstract, but since I made a big deal about Bush releasing them, I care about equal releases. Not a lot -- it's not like there are any mysteries about Kerry's career which the medical records would clear up -- but a little bit, just so's the usual crowd of idiots can't say "But KERRY didn't release those either!"

Buit the difference was that Bush's people kept saying that Bush's medical records proved he was in the Guard during those dates. Kerry's location during the dates of his military service are pretty well documented.
