Being a music lover, I was quite pleased to accidentally stumble into the useful world of MP3 blogs. It’s a blog, see, but instead of ranting about politics, these people are posting MP3s and talking about music. The MP3s usually don’t stay up for more than about a week, which is enough time to give them a listen but apparently not enough time to get on the RIAA’s radar. It’s like a very very slow radio station. “This week, we’re going to play the new Prince single.”

I stumbled onto the concept via The Tofu Hut, which has a superb blogroll organized by genre. Also, the man I know only as forksclovetofu is insane as hell. Others that I’m currently loving: Copy, Right?, Fluxblog, said the gramophone, Moistworks, and music for robots. Then follow links. I might start buying a lot of music again if this keeps up.

Incidentally, I've syndicated music (for robots) at musicforrobots. LJ strips the links out of the articles, but at least it's a good pointer to check it out when it's been updated. I'd have syndicated some of the others too, but most don't seem to have XML or RSS feeds.

My pleasure. :) I had to poke around for feeds for most of those, but I'm reading all of 'em except, um, Moistworks via my aggregator. I'll try and remember to post the feed URLs tonight.

That would be marvellous :) I'm currently still experimenting with aggregators - I'm using iBlog at the moment, since most of my browsing-variety internet use is done on my Powerbook. I'm eagerly awaiting PulpFiction's final release - it's a mail-reader style aggregator, and it looks to be quite nifty.

Any recommendations for more sophisticated aggregators, in the meantime? iBlog is nice, but... sorta bare-bones. :)

NetNewsWire. There's a freebie version available which is pretty good. I'm looking forward to PulpFiction as well, though.
