Hey, look, A Feast for Crows is done. By which we mean that the massively huge tome Martin was writing has been split into two parts, geographically, due to the physical limits of book side. The first part is complete and going into production.

I've never read any of Martin's fantasy books, but his little werewolf noir novella, The Skin Trade - that was him, wasn't it? - was, I thought when I was in late high school early college, the coolest thing I'd ever read anywhere. So I have fond feelings towards his work in the abstract.
