14 Boxes

At last count, I had 14 boxes of used RPGs to get rid of. D20 was a sickness, okay?

What I'm really tempted to do is offer a random box for $20 for anyone who can pick it up. Cause like I'm gonna type in a listing. $20 for a box of gaming? There's a copy of Senzar in there somewhere!

Senzar? Dude give me $20 and I'll burn the boxes in your yard.

Ugh. If I wasn't currently trying to divest myself of some of my books to get ready to sell and move, I'd be ALL OVER THIS. But sadly, I must ignore the siren's song of sweet, sweet gaming schtuff. :(

Why not give them to Pandemonium? They still take used stuff, don't they? It could be your donation to their continued in-business-ness.

we would price it up and put it in our used system. We don't do reciepts for donations, mostly because everyone says, 'oh, I don't need one...' when we go to give them one.

That said, we'd be happy and grateful to sort through them, and price them, and almost all our used games fly off the shelf, especially old D20 stuff. Expensive hobby when you buy it all new ;-)

I'll be at the store from 3-6 on Saturday (in the sofa pit), if you'd like the assurance of having the person who told you we'd be happy to take them. Heck, we'll even give you the $20 for them (since my first instinct, when I saw the post, before I saw the response, was to offer you the $20 to buy them for the store! ;-) )

btw, I'm Stephanie, the natural redhead of the two large red headed women who work there ;-) I'm using a photo of me here in case that means something.

I'm also sure, btw, that we could give you store credit for the purchase. We can purchase the books from you for any amount. Store credit may just start the cycle all over again, though! ;-)

Out of curiousity, though I see you're in Somerville, your journal header has a picture of the 504 on it. I'm in Cambridge now, but until last July, I lived at King and Jameson, about 30s walk from that streetcar (used to take it out to the St. Lawrence Market every Saturday). Are you connected to Toronto, too?

She's right, though. Store credit will totally start the cycle over again. But we toss money at the store ANYWAY, so! Yay books!

send me mail, thespian at sleepingcat dot com. about how you want to handle it; some credit, a donation, etc. we can possibly figure out what we would have given you for them and see if we can give you a donation receipt, though I'm not sure how that works with for-profit businesses, so I need to look into that. but we'll take it off here ;-)

As I sort of indicated to Jere, I'd be more than willing to take some of these spare books, though I do live in Indiana now. If, however, you'd be willing to tape it up and drop it off at the post office, I'd be willing to pay shipping. ...and I'd happily send you $20 for a box (above and beyond the S&H). :)

Very tempting. But the commute would be a bitch.
