So maybe A Better Tomorrow and sequel before Bullet in the Head, cause I think it helps to have the context. Plus they're awfully good. Well, one of them is.

A Better Tomorrow II isn't a very good movie, but prior to the Matrix, it had the best gun fight, bar none, at the end of the film. That, in itself, makes it worth watching. I would watch Bullet in the Head later rather than sooner as the historical nature of it gives it a very different feel than the others on your list - it's not bad, but I think it helps to get a good solid grounding in Woo's material before you see Bullet in the Head

That's more or less my take on it. ABT II is worthwhile for the gun battle; ABitH is far more affecting if you've seen at least ABT II (since it's the moral prequel).
