Landed successfully after a three hour maintenance delay. I was in the back of the plane; they ran out of dinners before they reached me so were unable to successfully charge me for dinner. Airlines have given up on customer satisfaction, for which I can't entirely blame them. He said cynically.

I am not going to do any big thing tonight because I have more interview in LA tomorrow and I'm tired enough as it is, sadly. So I'm sorry to everyone I missed, which is a serious bunch of people, but if I wind up out here I will see everyone.

Miss [livejournal.com profile] michele_blue and the cats. :(

As much as I want you to find a job, and one that you like, and all the best things in the world, the prospect of you and [livejournal.com profile] michele_blue moving to the Other Coast makes me unspeakably, truly, not-joking sad.

Word.

But if they end up in either SF or especially LA it will significantly tip the # of people I know in those areas such that very frequent trips to visit could be justified. He said cushioning himself.

I guess. But who among us can afford to fly out to the Bear Republic every other week for gaming sessions?

Better plan: we fly to Vegas and meet up there. Getting to Vegas is dirt cheap, and with a little bit of gambling we can easily pay for our trips, and eventually get comped for our gaming sessions!

I see nothing wrong with this plan.

Seriously, Ali & I were just this morning looking at a 3 night Vegas trip, flight included, for less than $400. THERE IS NO WAY THIS CAN NOT WORK!

You're onto something there. Don't we know some dude with long hair who's really into dramatic heists? Why doesn't he put all his heist-knowledge to some practical use and figure out a way for the Ephemeral Circus to pull some big scam, make millions, and retire comfortably somewhere? Then I'd be able to get my [livejournal.com profile] bryant gaming fix and fulfill my lifelong fantasy of wearing stylish, vaguely-retro suits everywhere.

The only flaw there is that he'd fail to show up for his crucial step of the operation, and everything would fall apart. And I'm way too pretty to go to prison!

But that would all be a diversion, you would all be caught before any crimes were committed while he accomplishes the feat with a secret plan, shows up to bail you out with the stolen money, and your charges get dismissed because you were all in jail at the time of the actual robbery.

Miss you too, sweetie. Fingers crossed.

And pay no attention to the plans elsewhere in these comments to knock over a casino. >.> Plausible deniability!
