Women don’t belong among front-line troops? Yeah, right. My thoughts: I’m anti-this war, and I’m glad US soldiers are this brave. I think the article pretty much speaks for itself.

Good for her. I've been so irritated by first, the complete focus on her as opposed to male and the other female POWs/missing, because it appears to be because she's young and pretty, and second by the condescending way Fox et al keep referring to her as 'Jessica'. She's a soldier, not a little girl.

Unfortunately, I can't find it right now, but I have seen an article in the past few days insisting that women don't belong on the front lines, or anywhere near war. While I think the whole attention on her thing is ridiculous, the same way I think all of the news' shock at American soldiers being killed or taken POW is ridiculous (it's a war, get over it), Bryant's right about this particular article speaking well for showing that women do have what it takes to be on the front line.
