Whoops, I forgot to natter on about Bend It Like Beckham. Well, let me fix that.

It’s a cute little romantic comedy about a cute Sikh lass who wants nothing more than to become a football player. (It’s British, so not the NFL.) There’s love, there’s an improbably attractive football coach, and there’s a remarkably sexy best pal. Family concerns get in the way of our heroine’s needs but all is resolved in the end. I’d call it a sterling example of the genre and recommend it.

Heh. That picture of Keira Knightly (Jules) doesn't do justice to just how little that top is like a top and how much it is like a *front*.

But yes, it's a delightful movie--perfect at what it does.

Yeah, I curbed myself. It's, um, yeah. I have to admit, there were times when I felt like I was just a tad old to be watching that movie.

But it was pretty fun. I got all inspired and wrote about half of a minimalist RPG for romantic comedies, which I'll finish sometime this week maybe.
