The Game Boy Advance SP is the best computer gaming device I’ve bought in two years and it’s a close second to my Windows PC as the best gaming device I’ve ever bought. It blows my Playstation and Playstation 2 away. Man, what a cool little device.

I had an old Game Boy Color, and it was OK, but it did not have the superslick form factor of the Advance SP. This thing is small enough to carry around comfortably in one hand. Plus it’s got a backlit screen. Plus the CPU is powerful enough to do interesting games.

I am basically a casual gamer, and having a reasonable powerful game system that I can honestly carry in my pocket is perfect for me. Advance Wars is a great turn-based strategy title, and Crash Bandicoot is a decent platformer. Wario Ware, Inc is bizarre and fast paced and I can dump half an hour into it at a time. Which is really the key factor. The Game Boy Advance SP is powerful enough to give me good gaming experiences, but not so powerful that all the games are complex 100 hour extravaganzas of challenge. It rules.

Completely concur

I've never bought a handheld system before, and never really been tempted to. So when I received an advance SP to try out from Nintendo I didn't expect to think much of it. I was very wrong, the SP went in my purse and now goes everywhere with me. If I've got some time to kill I pull it out and continue my quest through Golden Sun 2 (just one more continent to go!). It's sleek, stylish, ergonomic, and the perfect traveling game console.

I have to agree. I picked one up the day it came out, the backlighting was what sold me. I'm always having bits of insomnia so I can just reach over, play a little pokemon or zelda, then fall back asleep. I really wanna get Wario Ware though, and some of the re-release stuff, like the Phantasy Star 1-3 cart.

It seems to me that Nintendo knows how to do things right for the most part. They aren't perfect, but lately I've really been enjoying their stuff. I've also got a gamecube (and the other two systems) and I play stuff on that more than the other systems currently (though that's partly because I'm deep in the new zelda at the moment. It's almost good enough that I'd say get a gamecube just for it. It is good enough that I'd say get a gamecube for it and some of the other games out for it.)
