Oct. 27th, 2003 07:40 amWhile Sean Stewart’s web site has been redesigned, there’s not really much new information. Still just the brief note about The Glass Coffin. Alas.
He has added a section on “The Beast,” also known as “That big Web game designed to promote A.I.” There’s a very good introduction to the game. Reading it, I keep wondering what he’s been up to, and I wonder a little if he’ll ever write a novel again.

Date: 2003-10-28 12:58 pm (UTC)I remember, when I wrote him back in 1998 that he once spoke of writing novels as throwing stone into a well and wondering if it ever hit bottom. He heard from so few people about his novels and enough of the feedback he got was impressionably negative that I could see why he'd love the kind of instant kudos and feedback he must have gotten from the Monster.
What a rush...
I still remember even what little I did with the chatsubo, in keeping an on-going plot line, tying together a hundred hanging plot threads in a meaningful manner, and all the email and contact I got for doing it even on such a rudimentary and crude level. I could see how doing something that interactive and that thoroughly appreciated by ones very smart audience could very well be intoxicating compared to the tomb quiet of novel writing.
