Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet is one of those very British espionage dramas, with a harder edge to it than your average spy story. The production values are good, the acting is generally excellent, and the scripts are beautifully subtle. The story's really driven by relationships, but it's very British: the weight of relationships are understood, not explained.

It happens to have vampires in it, but don't let that put you off. It's descended from Le Carre, not from Stoker.
