The New Rosetta Stone — parody or a serious challenge to Dave Sim for the misogyny crown? I honestly can’t tell.

My theory is simple and is, essentially, an analogy. By projecting the characteristics of “woman” onto a character which is more straightforward and more readily understood by the general population, I wish to make the behavior of “woman” comprehensible. I offer to you Spider Man as the best model for “woman.” My argument is sixfold:

1. Spider Man wears tights.
2. Spider Man wears a mask.
3. Spider Man weaves webs.
4. Spider Man has a sixth sense.
5. Spider Man shoots strings.
6. Spider Man can climb walls.

I couldn't get past that line for laughing too hard. I mean, this seems to imply that this is a bad thing. Ooo, you mean we can't have any self-identity? :)

Though, I do agree about the tights. I never saw the purpose for them myself. Well, not the usual "formal dress" transparent ones. Stuff like black fishnets makes sense... but that's not for a formal context.

Sure. At least, ones with hand- and footholds, just like you could. I haven't read the article, but what's being quoted just makes me laugh. I mean, really, men don't have a desire for power and egocentrism? Men don't exchange information? Since when are these female phenomena?
