Jan. 20th, 2006 03:43 pmThis morning I recorded the first chapter of The Man of Bronze onto MP3. Audacity is perfectly functional and perfectly free. My USB headphones worked fine too. So I guess that means I can podcast, huh?
I want to get a couple of chapters ahead, but then I'll start weekly Doc Savage podcasts, a chapter at a time.

Date: 2006-01-22 11:13 pm (UTC)From the forum section on soloing:
"Some volunteers have asked us if they can record a whole book for LibriVox and the answer is: yes please! However, recoding a book is a lot harder than you might think.
It's a very good idea to read a chapter for one of our collaborative projects before you start a solo project -- you'll get feedback from experienced volunteers and an idea of the work and time involved in recording an entire book."
There are a ton of solo works in progress.
But anyway, I wasn't necessarily saying you should do this particular thing under the auspices of Librivox. I was just saying Librivox Good.
