That whole remixed movie trailer thing is here to stay, I'm thinking. Which is OK by me as long as it's always this clever. (Via Dave Kehr, thanks to Lance Mannion, albeit somewhat indirectly.)

That one wasn't quite clever enough for me. I think I've been spoiled by Nora Ephron's "Shining" and Brokeback to the Future, which are both so incredibly awesome.

oh, i'd put this up with the shining mash-up.

it was the "moses, moses" moment that did it for me.

Watching it a third time, I begin to think I was too harsh on it. I still put it at #3 on the list of great movie trailer mashups, but it's pretty darn good.

You have pretty exacting standards for "random shit that somebody posted on the internet for you to enjoy with merely the click of a button."

I dug it, though it helps an awful lot that The Ten Commandments was super cheezy in the first place ("Moses, Moses, Moses..."). I'll bet the original trailers (did they have trailers in 1956?) were not a whole lot different from that in overall town.

Titanic II is also pretty brilliant.

Pretty good, but not the same kind of project -- draws from all sorts of sources.

I was pretty amused by "Must Love Jaws," on YouTube by the same poster as the "Commandments" one. Sort of an extremely twisted "Free Willy."

It was only okay until the Principal line. Then it became very funny.
