"Help"

Yesterday, I'm digging my car out from the ice storm, doo doo doo, chip chip chip, shovel. It's fun, cause the ice comes off the roof in big chunks. It's like trying to peel an orange in one peel. I get some pretty big chunks going, which shatter nicely on the ground. cityofbeige is helping and perhaps feeling displeased about Boston weather.

This guy comes by, and says "Oh, hey, lemme help push." Well, sure, okay. He's from Worcester, which is having way worse weather, but he's in Boston for some reason and helping a friend whose car is right there, so he figures he might as well help us too. He has kitty litter and is willing to share. He's maybe not entirely practical, because he doesn't seem to get that you need to dig out before using the kitty litter, but man he's enthused.

Enthusiasm continues right up until he braces against the side driver's mirror and snaps the thing right off. It's kinda dangling from the power cord. Ooops.

But hey, he left his phone number and he'll pay and we duct taped the mirror back on in the meantime. Boston winters. C'est la vie.

Ehh... this winter is about the same as it was in Ohio. Though I heard Boston winters in the previous couple of years have been pretty bad.
