Is a long process. But I was expecting that.
In a sense, I'm back in my daily routine. I'm driving to work, taking care of business, going home again. I've shopped for household necessities. I'm doing the needed.
Nights, mmm. Not as much routine. The rhythm of the house has changed:
michele_blue's parents have moved in for a while, which is more than fine by me, and then there's someone missing. And we need each other. So I don't know what my evening routine is any more. Less Warcraft, more talking, and inevitable holes of sadness opening up beneath our feet from time to time. There are two of us, so we can catch each other, though.
I'm still in cotton. I've been sick since Saturday, although it's finally fading and reducing to just a persistent cough; still, that's left me slightly foggy, as has the tragedy. I'm not tired all day any more. I am going to be very grateful for the long weekend. We get Columbus Day in Massachusetts.
So I benchmark myself, and write this down, and I'll remember to look back at it next week and see how much progress has been made in reseating myself in the world. I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, I just want to feel more ground under my feet.
Also, one reminder. If you can't give, that's fine, and if you gave already, I am grateful. If you were planning on it but it slipped your mind, aha. This last is for you.

Next Saturday, a bunch of us will be walking in Wyatt's memory, and perhaps just as importantly, to raise money so that this happens less often.
My fundraising page is here, but it doesn't matter who you donate to. Anything is welcome, and if you can't give anything, that's okay too. Times are bad. That's part of what happened.
