The Governor's veto of the gay marriage bill was overridden, by a tiny tiny margin. But one vote is one vote!

It's unfortunate that Douglas happens to be against gay marriage, as most of the alternatives at election time are total psychos, as far as I can tell. (Leastways, I got the tip from my socially liberal family to vote for him, which must mean the other options were pretty wretched.)

That tiny, tiny margin for veto override means it's actually a 2/3 majority in both houses. I'll toast that with a Woodchuck cider any day!
