Yo, Unknown USA people! Were you aware of Anais Mitchell’s folk opera, Hadestown? It’s just a folk opera retelling of the Orpheus myth set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Great Depression, no big deal. Justin Vernon and Ani DiFranco are part of the cast.

This is pretty great! And I did not know about it.

I will have to share this with the players in Southern Rock Opera, my 1970s-southern-rock-band-makes-a-deal-with-the-devil DramaSystem game, which is rolling into its final episodes as we speak. It's not a repeat of Unknown USA but the two games are definitely kissing cousins - Blind Joe Biscuit even had a cameo.
